Building Permits

Building permits were required by almost every government we researched. PDF is the predominant form of business licensing access that governments make available. Additionally, the complexity of traditional business license software implementation results in this category being the only one with a notable percentage of governments that reported that online building permits were “Coming Soon.”

We see the lowest level of regional variation of implementation type in the building permit category.  Non-coastal areas are somewhat more likely to offer PDF access than online access.
